Have them CHECK the alternator!! It is most likley overcharging causing the headlamps to see higher current. I have a 96 900SE that had may bulbs burned out and everytime I brought it in for replacements I told them to check the alternator. They gave me the same story as your dealer and just replaced the bulbs. At 55000 miles ( 5 past the warranty) my car died and was towed to the Saab dealer. Problem was a fried alternator and they said that will be $600 bucks........but I told them to check all of my past comments on all of the service visits and they conceded and covered it under warranty. I now have 111,000 miles on the car and have NOT gone through ANY more headlight bulbs.
