My car is a 1993 model, it's not equipped with TCS (Tracking Control System ?), but in two occasions when the engine started to fail, I first take my foot off the gas and then press firmly the gas pedal, just as you say, and the engine responds fine. If my car has no TCS, what other thing can be the cause?
