Subject: Re: 94-900S Noises from front suspension

Yes, I have experienced some strange noise from the front wheels. The retaining spring for the caliper/break pads was fitted wrong. This caused uneven wear on the break pads, again, causing the caliper to move slightly towards the alloy wheels. The sound disappeared when I applied a slight preassure on the breaks. Once releasing, sound was back. Test it! Using std. Saab rim wheels did not produce the same noise since the clearance was greater. Go to a Saab dealer and look how the retaining spring is fitted on a 900/9-3 and compare with your car. -- Johan 94 900S > > Has anyone experienced the same, and have some tip for me ? >
