They all buy into the image of a brand and then it disappoints. I know someone who got a new BMW, but found the seats too hard and uncomfortable on long journeys. Not necessarily the thing you'd find out on a short test drive, but enough to mean the car (whilst having an arguably good image) was not her "cup of tea". When I wrote the original reply I didn't have enough time to do a full in depth analysis as to the reasons why you got the 9-3 and so assumed quite a bit because if you re-read your original post it's all negative about the 9-3, says it's a company car, that your dad's also not impressed and gives no more information. Sorry for not guessing any more (go on, you've driven every Saab since the 1960's and could tell me in detail how each one goes? ;-) MB. > Having said that, if the oily bits hold together and it > doesn't let me down, I'll soon get to live with the odd rattle and squeak, > the mushy brake pedal, or even the seat falling apart under my 14 stone > (plus) behind ... it's worth it for the acceleration, silence, comfort, and > general "feel-good factor" feeling that I get driving this great car!
