Disclaimer: I do not endorse this behavior nor do I need anyone telling me how much they do not approve. My wife didn't appreciate this story too much, so I thought I'd share it with you folks. Maybe someone can relate to my stupidity. On my way home tonight, a late 90s Acura Legend blew past me in traffic at a fair clip above the speed limit (US). Being the naive sap I am, I decided to use him as a front door. My 2000 9-3 stayed glued to his path as he weaved in and out of slower moving traffic. Of course ALL other traffic was 'slower moving traffic' by that time. I have a Bell 980 radar detector (can't afford the Valentine 1) for just such an occasion and as I switched it 'ON' the Acura changed lanes, slowed down along side of me, revved his engine in neutral a couple of times and grinned at me. That's all I needed. I downshifted into third and left that Acura like it was sitting on blocks. He finally caught-up a couple of lights later and again gave me the 'whaddya' say grin'. I obliged wholeheartedly. There was a clearing of no traffic ahead and as soon as the light turned green, he took me off of the line. I heard his Japanese piece of garbage whine like a beaten cat (my sunroof was open) and then he shifted into second gear. By the time he made it into second, I had blown past him and was already a car length ahead. But still he persisted. I threw it into third and still he screamed along behind me. And then I put into fourth and punched it. He knew he was history and ended-up getting caught at a light. Never saw him again. My 9-3 is a stock (unmodified) low-end 185hp 2 liter. I can't even begin to imagine how someone can keep the tires stuck to the pavement on the 205hp or the Viggen for that matter. No wonder Saab has a specific driving class available for Viggen owners. I've never raced anyone before...um...not in a front-wheel-drive car anyway, and I don't plan on doing it again. It was fun, but I don't recommend this retardedness to anyone else. Thanks for reading, Brian
