Del Vezeau's Paradigm is a fantastic collection of compositions for solo guitar. On the D.A.M. CD that I received from Del, he says that he plays both nylon and steel string guitar. When I listened to the CD I really only noticed nylon string guitar, but maybe that's because lately I've been really into nylon string guitar. This is a sweet collection of compositions. Vezeau's compositional style is reminiscent of contemporary greats like Leo Brouwer, and most certainly the immensely talented Andrew York, of L.A. Guitar Quartet fame. Vezeau's compositions have a strange twist in each one of them; lightning fast virtuosity that turns on a dime into some strange syncopated odd-time. He masters the guitar on this recording, perfect use of the guitar idiom. Listening to this recording on a cross-Canada trip to Vermont really got me thinking about pursuing the nylon string guitar again. Excellent recording! Organization of Sound http://mp3.com/guitar
