Subject: 96 900SE and snow chains

Has anyone had experience with putting snow chains on the z-rated tires of the new 900/9-3's? I am hoping to go to Lake Tahoe this winter, and the roads up there have mandatory chain or 4x4 with snow tire requirements. Since I have to drive a few hours to get there and I don't live in a snowy climate, I don't want to invest in steel wheels and snow tires. Will chains damage the tires or the car? Anything special I should know before I try it? Thanks for any help you can give. Ken Ferguson
