My 900i -91 (LH-Jettronic) acted about the same. The longer I drove the higher was the idle (the hole got "bigger" when it was warm). Take a rubber pipe and use it as a "stethoscope" to locate the possible leak. The other way is to spill/spray water to gasket neibourghood. If there is no leak then it may be something more expensive... Roy
