Mastokangas I don't know about Saabs, but on everything else I have worked on, warm air from the engine is diverted to the intake only until the engine has reached a certain temperature, then "outside" or ambient air feeds the engine. Engines actually run better when fed cold air because cold air is denser and is better for combustion. One other thing - cold air holds less moisture so I don't think that enough ice would form to freeze the accelerator. One of the vacuum lines may be in bad shape and not doing its job properly and when you reconnected the device............ -- A question debated and left unanswered is better than a question answered without debate.
