Subject: Re: Synthetic Oil

I have been using synthetic oil for about 3 years now and am very happy with it. My dad got me hooked on it when I bought a 2.3L Turbo Ford from him. This car was a 1980 and it has close to 200,000 miles on it now and the turbo is working great. Yes this is the turbo the factory put in it and it has never been rebuilt. It started getting synthetic oil at about 75,000 when my dad owned it. I also used in in my 1983 Rabbit. This car will go 3,000 and the oil still looks new. I drove the Rabbit hard and it has a few mods done to it. I this the most important thing when using synthetic oil is to you a very good oil filter. I like Mahle and Mann the best but have had good luck with K&N. I am rebuild a 1980 900 Turbo and will be using this system when I am done.
