What is the difference between these two engines?Will a 1987 non turbo head work on a1984 turbo engine? They are both 8 valves engines? Are the valve stem lenght the same or will they make contact with the piston when the engine rotates? The reason I'm asking is when I pulled my 84 head off on saturday the head was cracked from the water jacket to the # 3 .I went to the salvage yard today and all I found was non turbos and only after the second try did I find one that didn't show any signs of a crack.When I brought it home and did a quit visual they seem to be the same with the holes in the right place and everthing.
