I know with my 1999 9-3 I was able to tell my dealer what parts of each service I wanted done. The big one (45000 Km's) I didn't need brakes, so they left them alone. As for the service reminder, It'll go away after about five times of starting the car. Just press the clear key after the diagnostic check is done.
