OK, but rust can be prevented. My 85 900 had some surface rust when I bought it this summer, so I sanded it off, applied sealant, primer and touch-up paint, and nixed it before it got out of hand. Simply washing and waxing your Saab once a week will prevent rust. I'm not trying to rub it in, but rust can easily be avoided.
