Thanks all you guys for the advice. I was going to go look for some of the suggested products. But then the thought occurred to me to check with our machine shop. And I ended up borrowing some spray from them, called Osborn Layout Fluid Remover. I tried first on a hidden surface where it did not affect the paint. It did the job beautifully. It dissolved the glue, although as the stuff evaporated, the glue would thicken again and I had to wipe it quick.
