Subject: HELP >> Faults with my 1999 9-3 LPT Convertible

Hi I bought my 9-3 LPT Convertible in April 1999, it has now done 7500 miles and from new it has had the following faults, I'm hoping someone might confirm these are common problems which my dealer should be able to fix under my 3 year warranty. I want to seek your advice and go in armed with the facts, so any help would be great....here goes...... (1) Since almost the day I bought it ---- The Drivers Side Door Window is very squeaky when you go over bumps the whole side of the window and door seem to shake. Also the Electric Motors seem to labour winding the window on this side. A Friend of mine tells me this is a design fault, True ? (2) I had 17" BBS Alloys fitted the Car at the Showroom from new. The feedback to the Wheel is incredible and makes driving a real labour as you have to hold onto the steering wheel extremly tightly. Going over bumps almost wrenches the wheel out of your hand ! The following faults have developed in the last 6 months, 3000 miles :- (3) The LCD Display for the Air Con has started to fail. It seems as if some of the LCD elements fail and then recover. Leaving me with an Air Con display which is sometimes unreadable. (4) The Soft Top Support bar directly over my head squeaks like mad ! Any fix for this ? All in all I'm pretty disappointed with my SAAB, having paid 30,000 pounds it is not of the quality of build I would have hoped for. And thanks to the price cuts in the UK my SAAB after 18 months is worth maybe 20,000 pounds.
