That would be best.
I've had some Mercedes-people driving my Saab 9-3 and they nearly broke the
whole stick while trying to get it in reverse. The reverse on some
Mercedes-models is located past 1st.
If you explain them on forehand, most people don't have difficulties... But
I don't know your neighbor so...
