That sounds like too much. I have an 87 9000S, so I'm not sure if we have the same fog lights, but I replaced one on mine and the list for the lens piece was about $24. That is the housing the bulb fits in. The lens on my driver's side was cracked, so I replaced it. You might try Impex Distrubutors, 1-800-736-3550, www.sobstory.com or www.thesaabsite.com.
