Subject: '912 900 S Wit' No Transmission

One year ago I bought a '91, 900s for $5,000 88K - Good so far... Six months ago I spent $1,000 on the clutch/slaves Saturday, the pinion gear went out and (sez the dealer) wasted the tranny. The dealer will charge $3,000 (installed) for a 'SAAB' rebuilt tranny. Well, the car is only worth that, wholesale -- The dealer doesn't even want it to fix and resell. I found a couple of salvage trannies $900-$1,300 hundred with another $1,000 for an install---total $2,000. Sooooo, I'm looking at a car that won't go and is worth nuttin' or putting $2-3,000 in it? Anybody got a plan? Michael Glaser Address e-mail to both : mitchvisnopsame-link.com mitchvisnopsamnet
