Mine did this to me... and eventually started up enough to get it home. It WAS the fuel pump. To get it home or to a shop: try tapping on it with a screwdriver or something... this will often make it work one last time. (Did you check the fuse for the pump?) BTW: the pump is under the floor board thingie in the trunk. There's a circular metal cap over it. I put a used pump in myself.
