Mark, Racing convention in what I am familiar with is to use individual wheel speed signals from all 4 wheels (this may be available from the ABS port) and perform a mathematic algorithm on it to determine a normalized speed for the car and integrate it to get distance traveled. I am not familiar with GPS other than to know that the practical information is too difficult to use in racing currently. As far as rally, are you going to campaign it professionally on closed courses, or is this on public roads?
