Ladies & gents, I recently bought a '92 900S 16V DOHC with 87K miles. A valve job was just done by a reputable garage (Main reason for valve job was that the head had been pulled for a blown head gasket. The rest of this baby appears to have been well maintained, and the 87K miles are real.) My concern is that when the car is started up in the morning the valves make a diesel-like clackety-clack noise for probably 2-3 minutes before they quiet down. I'm in California, so it's not very cold here. I know that it should take a little while for the oil to get pumped up there, and when that happens, that's what quiets thing down. The oil was changed about 500 miles ago, and I'm not sure what grade was put in (I just bought the car.). So...how long should it typically take for valves to quiet down? Thanks in advance, Dennis
