Subject: Annoying, intermittent central locking problem

I own a 3 door hatchback 1993 900SE classic. I have a most annoying intermittent central locking fault which occurs with either the key or the alarm remote control keyfob. At various times only the driver's door will lock/unlock leaving me to lock/unlock the passenger's door and/or hatch with the key. The central locking will work fine for a few days, then stop for a few days and so on, it sometimes even stops and starts working within the same day. Each time I book my car into the dealer when it isn't working it starts working again before the day I have the car booked in, so the dealer has nothing to work with and does not investigate further. Has anyone else experienced anything like this ?. Does anyone have any idea where the fault lies ?. Thanks, Matthew.
