Hello All, Thanks to the Massachusetts Highway Department Pothole Division, I have to replace my engine on my 1985 900. I have located an engine/tranny combo in good condition for the beastie that is from a 1988 900 Turbo and is at an unbelievably good price. (This is the only reason I considering this endevor.) I am aware of the difficulty of this job, and going to try it out my self. So far I know that I will need the following: 1. Two days time. 2. The wiring harness from the '88 (because of changes to component connectors). 3. The engine. 4. The various governing computers/electronics. 5. The instrument cluster with the cables for the turbo gauge. 6. A legal way to dispose of all removed fluids. 7. A replacement intercooler (the original was badly damaged). 8. Shitloads of patience. Things I know I have to do: 1. Remove the dash and front seats to install the wiring harness and instrument cluster. What I need to know, does anyone have any suggestions or notes that can assist me in massive swearing fit that will be this replacement.
