Subject: Odd noise from 900SE Turbo?

I was hoping someone could help answer if this noise is "normal". I've owned a 97 900SE 2.0 turbo 3 door for 2 months now. I noticed, when siting still at idle, a noise from the engine compartment. It sounds like a turn signal or "blinker" relay switching. The sound occurs every second or two but it is not completely symmetrical like a turn signal relay. It is not very loud and if the radio is on or the fan is on settings above 3 or 4 I don't hear it. I can't hear it when I rev. the engine. It actually seems to go away when I drive or rev the engine. Tonight after driving 30 miles I stopped and heard it while at idle. I got out and listened outside the car and it seems to come from under the hood near the firewall on the passenger side. Anyone else hearing a noise like this? Thanks in advance. - Dave
