I think the cheapest and best solution short of having a new headliner installed is to hem up the sagging areas with upholstery screws. The headliner on my '88 900 started to sag in the heat last summer, but 10 or 12 screws (all for ~ $1) have kept the problem at bay for months. The screws with the clear heads are practically invisible.. no passengers have noticed, and even I keep forgetting about it. I probably won't ever pay the $ to have it fixed professionally.
