Subject: Removing the Harmonic Balancer

Dear Group, I will be doing work on our 91 9000 Auto Trans soon and need some feed back about removing the harmonic balancer. Will it be the same as removing a standard pulley? Is it difficult to loosen the bolt? If so what is the best way to hold the crank from turning? Is a clock-wise to remove this bolt? Good idea to use the hammer type of impact tool to loosen the crank bolt? The purpose is to replace the worn belt, the two plastic pulleys and the front crank seal. Would it be wise to pull the oil pump and clean it while i'm there? What about modifying the engine front mount travel? Good idea? Thanks for any help. Jay
