They also rust at the bottom of the front wings(fenders) if you look down from the engine compartment, you may see the road through holes rtound the wheel arch/fender join. Listen for a noisy timing chain, not ussually a problem on an 8 valve. also rust round the bottom of the doors can be a problem.
