Hi Stephen!!!, > when starting the engine I always get "TEST BRAKE > LIGHTS" on the SID Display. Pressing the brake pedal > clears this message down. It is quite normal: it's a safety feature. Forcing you to press the brakes pedal, enables the on-board computer to check if the brake lights are working or not. So, enjoy it! :) On my '97 SE Turbo Convertible the SID first makes a general check (messages are: "CHECKING" and after a while hopefully "CHECK OK") and after it asks for the "TEST BRAKE LIGHTS"...
