We had the engine replaced on our '90 Legacy at 11,000 miles because of a porous block...and on a company Saturn at 20,000 miles when the dealer stripped the oil drain plug and the employee driving it thought the oil light wasn't serious. My suggestions: *Try to get them to replace the long block (with heads) rather than just the short block and bolting your heads on it.Less chance of head gasket troubles down the road... *Carefully inspect the engine compartment, hood, fenders etc. for damage. We found numerous little dings and scratches "too late" ... insist that ANY damage, no matter where it is, is repaired. *Make sure you get all the necessary documentation re engine numbers so that, down the road, your car isn't worth less because the numbers don't match and the records are lost. *You don't say how many miles are on the car and how much of the warranty remains. Double check that all hang on engine parts (ac compressor, alternator etc.) are installed correctly. We lost an AC compressor a year later due to bearing wear that was likely due to a misaligned compressor and a vbelt that was too tight. Good luck!
