OK this EXACT thing happened to me when I replaced my fuel pump. It cut out ONLY on left hand turns. This was MY problem: The orientation of the pump was incorrect. The strainer inlet must be set at the correct angle. If you look down at the pump from above.... The + connection must be to the left / the - connection exact right. the INLET to the strainer must be facing 45ƒ (45 degrees) "backwards to the left". In other words... Approximately the 4:30 position on a clock. Also the pump must be a certain depth, but I doubt that's the problem. Strainer Inlet Orientation Syndrome. The dreaded SIOS.
