Subject: Re: Clarion CD/Equalizer problem -- ?thoughts?

I know of two problems with the CD in a '93 9000; one was mine and the other a friend with the same model. Unfortunately, our symptoms don't match yours. In my case, the player would not eject a CD and behaved erratically. The problem was a corroded lithium cell that damaged the circuit board. My friend had similar problems, but in his case it was intermittent contact with the wiring harness. I fixed my own by opening it up, disassembling it, replacing the battery and patching up the circuit board. If you don't have a lot of experience with electronics, I don't recommend you try fix it yourself.
