Subject: Re: Saab's reliable or not??????

The only negative thing that I can say about saab's are thier resale value... I have a 1989 saab 9000 CD which was origionaly a $40k+ car and now the trade in value is like $2k other than that I have been very happy with it... I didn't start having any problems until I reached about 160k miles... but hey... I think that is pretty good... and they are all fixable... my friend has a 95 jetta with about 80k miles and he has all kinds of problems.. alone the fact that the saab has a timing chain versus the belt that need to be replaced quite oftenly on the jetta would be reason enough for me to chose the saab... anyway good luck, On Wed, 18 Apr 2001 20:40:59 -0700, "Angelo Benjamin" <> wrote: >I am considering buying a 96-99 900 or 9-3 and have looked at books in >Chapters(canadian book store) about saab's and they all say run, don't walk >away from these cars.
