This could be the answer. When you say spoiler, would you happen to be referring to the flat panel that fits below the radiator, flush with the bottom of the car? Because contemporaneous to the time when that piece somehow came off, the whistling probably occured. I've had the car for 13 years, and every time it is driven on the x-way (practicvally everyday), I crack a 100 or better, and this sound never occured until about a year ago.
