Subject: 2001 9-5 Hands-Free Phone Kit

Hi, I recently purchased a 2001 9-5 SE Wagon. Page 103 of the manual indicates that you can install a hands-free kit that will allow the phone to use the car's built-in microphone, stereo speakers, and power, will mute the stereo when you receive a call, and will show "telephone" on the info display when the phone is in use. I called the local dealer to find-out about this, was referred to the contractor who installs hands-free kits for them, who told me this can't be done with OnStar-equipped cars. Does anyone know if this can in fact be done? Or is the manual wrong on this point? Thanks! Marc -- Marc Field (to reply, please remove .nospam from the address below) marcnopsamdinet.nospam.com
