I do not know if the townsend site says anything, but I would recommend removing the rear cover of the tranny to drain it of oil and wipe out any metal fragments in the bottom of the case. Do the mod, replace the side and aft cover, replace the fluid with amsoil series 2000 20W50 and drive it until it completely breaks. Change the tranny oil once a year at a minimum.
