Subject: Re: 9-3 cargo volume?

Bert, I've just looked up the luggage volumes in a 1995 900 brochure, so whereas these figures come straight from SAAB, they are not quite definitive with regard to the 9-3. However, here goes: 5 Door / Coupe: With rear seat in position - 17.4 cu ft (494 dm cubed) VDA. With entire rear seat folded - 46.3 cu ft (1314 dm cubed) VDA. Convertible: With backrest in position / hood down - 10.4 cu ft (295 dm cubed) VDA. With backrest in position / hood up - 13.3 cu ft (378 dm cubed) VDA. I imagine that the 9-3 is very similar if not identical. "dm cubed" is cubic decimeters (10x10x10 cm). Meaningful? Not here. I haven't got the foggiest clue what "VDA" is. We can only guess. Anybody?
