These people have given me quite a bit of good advice over the past 6 months (I bought my first Saab, a '92 900S about 6 mos. ago.). To really appreciate the sportiness and handling of this car, I'd recommend getting a 5-spd. I love my car, but I'm a bit bored w/ the auto trans. As with buying any used car, try hard to get service or repair receipts from the seller to verify the car's mileage and service history. I believe the classic 900 is really a classic design, and will easily go to 200K miles if maintained adequately. When they fail, some of the parts are expensive though. I just had a fuel pump die (at 90K miles), and the real Saab pump assy. (Cheaper pumps from other vendors may be out there, but I didn't look.) was $400.00, plus about $150. for labor.
