I just replaced the head gasket on my 87 9000t. After starting it up after reasembly it still blows white smoke - not like before but it is really noticable. I am sure it is not the head but I am wondering if the turbo which is water and oil cooled may have a cracked cooling jacket and is leaking coolant. Right now I only have water in the system so I don't know if the smoke is from left over antifreeze in the tailpipe and is burning off from before or if it is from the turbo unit etc...
