Subject: Oil Change

I've been using generic oil for a while now (decent brand of 10-30) and just switched to 10-40(redline) and my engine has been running a lot hotter (almost to the point where I've considered stopping to let it cool down) recently. Is this just my engine getting used to the new oil or should I switch back to 10-30. I think Saab recomends 5-40 for hot weather for my car, and it's been pretty hot here in palo alto recently. thanks nate oleson 94 900T Convertible
