IMHO, the old generation 900 was as real as Saabs get. The NG 900s were a million miles away - awful GM creations. I'm not just repeating an opinion I hear somewhere, I've driven and worked on them. If you have any inclination towards the old shape 900s, I'd definitely go for one of those. For that money, you could get one in top condition, and still have a few k left over for the emergency car fund. In the end, what it comes down to is this. Drive them both, and if you prefer the og, that's the one to get. But don't make the mistake of thinking that newer = more reliable. It couldn't be further from the truth.
