If it's like the 9000, and it probably is. there should be a big brass nut screwed into one of the plastic end caps on the radiator, with two wires coming out of it. This is the thermosistor fan switch. Replace it, and you won't be sorry. The switch is supposed to close at a set temperature (either 82 or 89 degrees, depending upon which switch is installed), and thus direct current to the radiator fans. The problem is, as these things age; the temperature at which the switch closes creeps up and up, or sometimes just fails completely. also be sure to check the relays, fuses, connectors, etc. If it still fails to work, then you maybe have a loose connection in the wiring harnesses somewhere, or a bad ground.
