Subject: Starting problem('88 900i 8v)
Many thanks to all of you who shared with me your suggestions last time I
posted this message...unfortunately, the problem remains!!
When cold, the engine will fire up very quickly (1 second), but the revs
will drop then recover, and the engine will misfire (I think on 3 cyls only)
for prehaps 30 secs. At intermediate temperatures, the engine will fire
slightly after 1 second of cranking, but not strongly enough to start...
Starting at second attempt is sort of ok...
When at normal operating temp, starting is fine.
New plugs, leads, dizzy cap, cold start injector sensor....The problem is
not related to damp in the electrics...
All suggestions greatly appreciated!
