I don't know if this is still true or not. well i dont think only the country of manufacturing counts ;), its really the dye that matters i also expierenced that some audio cd-players seem to "like" blue dye better than a gold one and so. but also something that matters alot, various cheap IDE-burners dont keep the distance between pits properly at higher speeds like 8x , if they make too long distances between them it can cause problems with audio cd-players bye simon putz
