Fluid is Dexron III (or maybe IV nowadays). Automatic fluid level is checked with engine running, in neutral. The car must be run for 15 minutes to warm the fluid, or alternatively at the end of a decent run when the engine is hot. Remove the transmission fluid dipstick and check the level on the appropriate side of the stick - 40/80 degress depending on whether the engine is at operating temperature or not. Top up via the dipstick hole. -- Regards, Danny http://www.gaggia-espresso.com (a purely hobby site) swap Z for above characters in email address to reply
