Hi I had similar problem with cold starts. The engine would start then idle up and down couple times then stall. Restart a few times and it would run ok. I improved this situation by adding some conductive grease inside the electrical connector for the air mass meter. The air mass meter adjusts the fuel mix by measuring the electrical resistance across a thin wire exposed to the intake airflow. If the meter is still in good working condition, then it might just be a poor electrical connection to the meter, maybe from oxidation or dirt. Try disconnecting the air mass meter electrical connector and starting a cold engine. If it starts fine and doesn't stall, then you might have found the problem! hope this helps!
