Quick preamble: We recently purchased the above vehicle, and took it for an assessment and service to a dealership's service department. There are a couple of non-essential repairs, such as the motor controlling the RH headlight adjuster, and the seat heater pad which we have left for later (cost/benefit not appropriate at this point). The service department told us that the 'front exhaust flexible pipe is damaged and leaking'. I have a few questions: How easy would it be likely to be (we have a reasonable level of mechanical and electrical/electronic knowledge) to replace the headlight motor and seat heater pad with s/hand parts? Do they tend to be available at wreckers anyway, or is doing this just 'a bad idea' anyway? And could we do the same for this exhaust component? Collectively these parts are worth about $1300 without fitting costs. Any information anyone could give us would be very much appreciated. Thanks, Selkie
