Could just be metal fatigue, the car has 164k miles on it, so it is getting to the point where odds and ends are going to go wrong. To tell exactly what has happened, I have to pull the transmission off, which brings me to my next question to those who have had transmission issues. Can an automatic transmission be pulled without pulling the engine out of a 1988 Saab 9000S? I have various shop manuals, but not the one on the transmission for this vehicle. Again I thank you in advance for any information provided.
