It's a law of nature. I claim the right to disagree. The focus has changed from building a solid, durable car to one with every conceivable bell and whistle you could think of, and then some. All the model come with alloy wheels, because they look "sporty", beside being profitable. Can anyone tell how much better the car handles with alloy wheels versus steel wheels at speeds up to 75 MPH? Many people will tell you how well these alloys handle potholes at speed above 20 MPH. I have bought new factory steel rims for $20 to $40 each. How much does a Saab dealer charge for a new alloy 17" rim? My other complaint is about all of electronic gadgets that eventually break. How much could you reduce the cost of a car if you could eliminate some or all of these gadgets. These make the cars more expensive, but more important, more profitable for Saab, both at purchase and repair. > > > The original Saab 8V engines are near indestructible, they don't make > them like that no more. Certainly not GM. > Not for 400.000 +miles... No argument with this point. The body of my '86 rusted away while the engine and transmission were going strong. > > > Pros > > 900 jubilee (T8)
