It's pretty straightforward. You have to remove the grille to access it. It might take you a while to align the new one so that it opens/shut ok. Incedentally, why are you replacing it? I've never had to replace them, since they don't seem to break. I have had to remove, clean and lube them on every 900 I've owned.
