Thanks Grunff The car is still under a used car warranty so I will contact the seller. He is a mechanic and owns a Saab service business. The car had been his personal car. It has been kept in immaculate condition and I am fussy about my car and the driveway (hehe). This is the first auto I have owned and I was unsure of the possibilities. It certainly appears to be coming from between the engine and transmission. The car is running very well so i think the crank seal is a more likely possibility.
